The CBEO Test Bed is essentially the cornerstone of the entire project. Data from the Test Bed feeds into the CBEO Network, Science and Education nodes. It integrates a subset of currently available large data sets characterized by multiple variables and widely disparate time and space scales - grab and continuous sampling at fixed stations, undulating towed sensors, and satellite and aircraft remote sensing.
In addition to the large amount of monitorig data available in the Test Bed, it also contains a 15 year simulated data set from the Chesapeake Bay Program's hydrodynamic and water quality model.
